2025 Albanian Community Scholarship

             
Dear Applicant,

The AAMC of Waterbury is proud to announce its Annual Albanian Community
Scholarship for college-bound freshmen. The goal of this scholarship is to reward students with
high academic achievement, who display the highest moral standards by being an active
contributor to their community. Please pay close attention to all the directions and guidelines.
The application must be completed and include all requested information in order to be
considered by the Scholarship Selection Committee.

The Albanian Community Scholarship will award three (3) high school seniors the
amount of $500 (each) plus potential private donations. In order to be eligible for this
scholarship: students must be of Albanian descent, a graduating senior attending any high
school in the State of Connecticut, and enrolling in an accredited 2 or 4 year university/college
degree program. Awards will be based on academic achievement, essay portion and community
involvement, family membership at AAMC, awards/honors and extracurricular activities.
A selection committee of 5 educators/community leaders will score the essays. Scholarship
recipients will be notified by June 7, 2025 – and awards will be formally dispersed at the
Annual Albanian Festival of Waterbury in June.
